My Summer Reads (If you are a pre-teen girl stuck for book ideas, this is the place for you!!)

 I'd really like more people to start reading and enjoying my blog... but actually, the last time I even posted an actual blog was May so I quickly realized that I should probably do something about that. 

Another wise thing to do which I am going to try my best on is making this a site that people my age actually want to read - and to be posting more content more often. 

So anyway, it has been a little while since I posted a book review and let's just say, I have read quite a lot of books in that time so this blog post is about some of my favourite books that I have read so far this summer and would recommend!! Also before we start, I just want to mention that the target audience for almost all of these books is preteen to teenage girls so if you are a bit younger and reading this, there are plenty of other book reviews for you further down on my blog and I can guarantee that you will find something that you will love!! The Valentines - By Holly Smale

'The Valentines' is a hilarious and heart-warming trilogy written by the amazing author of one of my all-time favourite book series', 'Geek Girl'. Each novel is written from the perspective of one of the three Valentine sisters. Each book is an account of each sister's life having been thrust into the spotlight. This gripping trilogy will have you in floods of tears then fits of laughter. There is just no pacific book that can compete! (Haha, you'll get this reference very soon!)

The OMG Blog - By Karen McCombie

OMG!!! I loved this book so much! It is sweet, funny, light-hearted, quirky and simply joy to read!

It is short but has you hooked throughout and is a must-read. I don't want to say any more so that I don't spoil the book but I really recommend giving it a read!

The Summer I Turned Pretty - By Jenny Han

Okay, Okay, I know I have definitely mentioned these books before but since this post is about my summer reads, and since this is such a summery book, I had to include it!! The trilogy, 'The summer I turned pretty' which also includes 'It's Not summer Without You' and 'We'll always have summer' are another few books which I enjoyed. These books follow a girl named Belly (short for Isobel!) through her teenage years. Every summer, she and her family visit a glorious beach house which has almost everything a girl could want, a gorgeous private beach, a crystal-clear pool and two boys... 

This book is packed with surprises and summer fun and any preteen to
teenage girl would enjoy this book!

(Quick reminder! Make sure that you get the nod from a trusted adult first, these can be a bit grown up!!)
