Hello and welcome back to my blog!☺ Hope you're having a lovely February and that this awful weather isn't putting a dampener on your mood because I definitely can't say the same here!
Me and Cooper are back with another book review (Well... Coops thinks he's helping anyway, but that mainly involves trying to pull my warmest, cosiest socks off and being a nuisance in general!)
Anyway yeah, me and Coops are back with another list of book reviews. These are a collection of books which I have recently read and enjoyed which are aimed more at older readers so if you are a teenage girl looking for some book recommendations, I've got you covered!
If you are younger, there is another collection of book reviews and recommendations further down my blog page which I totally recommend visiting.
Ok, let's get started!
Girl Online- By Zoe SuggI really enjoyed the first two books of this series and am yet to enjoy the third one. These books were a relatable and really enjoyable read for me and I got hours of laughter, excitement and suspense out of this story, I just couldn't bring myself to put it down!
I absolutely loved all of the characters in this, especially the clumsy and sweet main character Penny and her hilariously witty and out-spoken best friend, Elliot, both of whom, I have rooted for since the very first chapter.
So yeah, I would definitely recommend giving this a go!
The Summer I Turned Pretty- By Jenny Han 'The summer I turned pretty' and its sequel, 'It's not summer without you'
are another couple of books which I inhaled within just a few days.
These books follow a girl named Belly through her teenage years. Every summer, her and her family visit a glorious beach house which has everything a girl could want, a gorgeous beach, a crystal-clear pool and two boys...
This story is packed with surprises, summer fun and holiday romance and I can guarantee you will enjoy this book!
GIRL (In real life)- By Tamsin Winter'GIRL (in real life)' is one of my favourites by Tamsin Winter whose other books I have also mentioned in a previous book review.
This is a funny, sweet and heartfelt novel all about growing up in the spotlight and sometimes just wanting to escape all of the likes, comments and followers. About when you feel like a can of fizzing, whizzing cola, being shaken and shaken until your lid pops off and you just can't take any more! This eye-opening story will help you to see content creators on social media from a whole different view and what it can be like being an internet sensation since the moment you were born...
Geek Girl- By Holly SmaleI may have mentioned this one already in my original book review list but if I did, I want to recommend it again since I enjoyed it so much!
It is a witty, hilarious and gripping read all about an average teenage girl's incredibly, wild transformation from 'geek to chic' with a whole series of six books whisking you away on a journey of once-in-a-life-time opportunities and hilariously clumsy mis-haps.
And that is all I have for today! I really hope that I have been able to help you if you were on the lookout for new book recommendations and I hope you enjoyed it! Please let me know in the comments if you have any other books which YOU would recommend and I will see you soon!
Bye!☺
Love this Lexi! This will be very helpful to many bookworms.
