Ruby

Hello again!

Did you know that bumble Bees can flap their wings about 200 times per second?

Anyway, this week, I have decided to do a collection of short stories that I have been working on over the past few weeks. They are all about Cooper's brothers and sisters and their lives after being separated from the litter. Each story is from a different Golden Irish puppy's perspective. This first one is going to be from the perspective of the mum, Ruby, I hope you enjoy it!

                                                        *****************************

They think that I am totally oblivious to what they are talking about. They say things like, "Awww, these little bundles of joy are going to go to lovely homes! We are making sure of it!" or "Won't Ruby be glad to see the back of them!" And I am right behind them, staring from the little pen in the corner with my twelve pups clambering over me and draining the life from me! My owners have it easy- they've only got five kids.

I mean, they are little nightmares and everything but to be honest, I'm going to miss them when they're gone. I will miss being the Mum to these (mostly) adorable Golden Irish puppies. It's not fair though because the pups are only half mine, yet I have to do all the work of taking care of them. I am the Irish Red Setter and the other half of them is a handsome Golden Retriever named Goose, who is far too big for his boots in my opinion.

Me and Goose HATE each other. I mean, shouldn't I get to decide who is the other half of my puppies?  Anyway, that is enough moaning about my (apparently) husband. Two weeks ago, we had family, after family, after family come to meet the puppies to decide which one they wanted. Soon, they will be back again to take them for good. I hope that they lead twelve, happy and healthy lives and that they all remember how much I love them. (And that I am quite frankly sick of them).

P.S. Please do not worry about Ruby - She is very loved and pampered and has a great life consisting of running through luscious fields, and laying on loving laps! She will not be having any more pups thankfully! 😉🐾
